2001 Honday Odyssey EX, 110K miles.  Tranmission went to hell in a matter of hours.  On the way to my destination, I noticed that the car was "catching" when it tried to change gears.  Minutes later, the check engine and TCS lights came on.  It seemed fine at highway speeds.  Once I finished with my appointment, I got back in the car and the TCS light had gone off but the check engine light was still on.  Car still was hestitating for city driving.  The TCS light came on again about halfway home.  Less a mile from my house, the D4 light starting flashing and the tranmission started to fail so completely I was unsure if I could make it to my driveway.  all this is the matter of a 60 mile round trip excursion!  I had the car towed to our local dealer.  They have given us a quote of $3800 of which American Honda will cover 50%.  Which I feel is low considering our car is only 1% of out of the class action warranty and only 25% out of the extended warranty by time, for a product acknowledged as extremely faulty.

We all paid a premium for this car when it was new - sticker price, waiting list.  Which we were willing to do because it was a Honda product.  Well, I'm less than impressed.  I'm going back to the manual transmissions I always drove before I got this vehicle.
