Homebrewbaker	2001	Posted: 07/28/2009 Got a 2001 Odyssey, Transmission went out at 129K. Re-manf. Honda tranny will be installed this week with a 3/36 warranty including rear engine seal, and fluid flush with tax $3,300. I saw what was happening to these transmissions and decided I would change the fluid every 15K and made sure I used Honda ATF. I guess it lived longer than most I have been reading about. I am going to call American Honda now and see if they can help, if not at least I can log a complaint. Needless to say I am disappointed like everyone else, I expect 200K out of this van before any major repairs. I got 215K out of my Jeep and sold it with no transmission problems. I have had the opinion that domestics have better transmission and this proves the point..... at least to me.
