Odyssey Transmission

Our 2001 Odyssey EX with 112,000 miles was affected.  The transmission started slipping between 1st and 2nd when cold.  Honda offered 5% as a good will gesture.  This is our fifth Honda, and it was dealer-serviced since we bought it in September 2000.  My wife and I are very disappointed.  We're not sure whether to pay the $3100+ (for a refurbished transmission with a 3-year warranty) or just trade the van in for something reliable and not made by Honda.  

With 400+ Facebook friends between us, a lot of people are reading about how disappointed we are in Honda and how little they stand behind their defective products.

I am terribly frustrated FOR you, in that I know exactly what you are going through.  I am going to ask permission from the service manager to forward these e-mails (anonymously, of course) on to him so he can see that other people--not just me--are dealing with the same responses from corporate Honda.  5% is a slap in the face if you ask me.  I too am considering getting mine fixed as cheaply as possible and then trading it in for a differnt make altogether.  Never thought I would say that!  Hang in there, pal.
