Though I don't have an Odyssey, my 2002 Accord EX 3.0L had the same transmission problem as described here in the case reports. And I know there are many other Accord from 2002 to 2004 at least reported to have the transmission issues on carcomplaints.com.

My Accord got D4 blinking and Check Engine light on several weeks ago, and Honda dealer suggested to replace it at $3600. Dealer also told me Honda would bear $750. I tried to negotiate more with Honda America, however, the case manager (Ron) refused to discount more by using a lot of reasons. The fact I have done the required transmission maintenace per schedule at Honda dealership  did not help me much.

I think a legal action is necessary to bring Honda to face the reality, rather than let them divide and conquer the users by this case-by-case approach. I got in touch with the lawer in NY, however, they had stopped working on this case. Please if any one can help find another lawyer that would be able to start the class action.

Ron is quite the jolly fellow huh?  He was my case manger too.  After several calls and battles where he sounded like a broken record, I asked him "You must really hate your job, huh?" He paused and didn't know what to say (must not have a script for that question).  Then I said all you do is lie to people all day long...  He then went it to his script mode "There are no known problems with the Odyssey transmission other than the recall work, which you had done already."

haha What a joke.

I agree a new lawsuit is really needed....  Anyone know how to go about finding a new lawyer?

Does anyone know why the lawyers in NY no longer want to pursue this? Is it maybe because someone got paid off some hush hush money to make this problem go away? It not that simple and it may behoove the legal community to pursue this further in light of what's been happening to Toyota and their safety and recall shit. Honda has been building unsafe shit for the last 10+ years and our government needs to do something to make them pay for it. Either fix these problems or make them pack their shit and leave this country for good. That goes the same for Japanese and poisonous deadly shit coming out of China. Orientals are smart people, but they make and build dangerous products period!
