Bought my Odyssey brand new in 2001 after waiting for 7 months.  It has 147000 miles on it and I am waiting for the 3rd transmission to be put in. (Four total if you count the original).  All the work on van done at the dealer I bought it from.  They quoted me $3960 for a new tranny and it may take a month to get. A refurbished one out of California is my other option for $4500.  I have called Honda to plead my case and am waiting on a reply from a "Resolution Specialist".  A call I was suposed to get in 24 hours.  Deadline passed.  If there is another class action, count me in.

Honda won't do shit.  Have a local shop install a Jasper unit.  Has 3 yr/ 100,000 mile warranty.

There is an attorney in Cincinnati, OH who is well known for successful class action law suits.  He is currently filing suit against Toyota for their current troubles. If someone wants to contact him to furnish odysseytransmission.com for informative reading, perhaps he would take up the cause.  His name is Stanley M. Chesley, and he is known as one of the nation's top class attorneys.  The web site for the law firm is:  www.wsbclaw.com.

Despite Toyota's troubles, I wish I was a Toyota owner.  At least that company is trying to provide resolution to the issues and keep customers.  Honda should do the same, if not voluntarily, then via another class action suit for 2002+.

Metoo...why don't you contact the attorney and let us all know what he says.

MeToo,

I was thinking the same thing.  I have a Toyota, and I have my Odyssey (with a crappy transmission).  At least Toyota cares enough about their customers to take a loss, and admit they screwed up.  The president apologized today.  Honda on the other hand has told all of their "case" managers to lie and say there is no issue with the 2002+ transmission if the recall work was done.  Oh, and we shouldn't believe anything we read on the internet...

We nominate you to contact that attorney!!!

Somewhat good news.  Honda cut the price of the transmission down by almost a grand and got the transmission to dealer earlier than predicted.  I know have it back.  squeaky wheel got something.
