This is much the same as I have been reading and getting frustrated with Honda.  I have a 2000 Honday Oddysessy.  It has not left my family, it came from my mother gently used.  At the time I took ownership it had 47K miles.  But from the beginning I noticed the transmission was not functioning properly.  I took it to a dealership in Ga.  (Honda Mall of Georgia) where I was told it needed a tranmission fluid change.  Did that, no help.  I told them about the rough gear changes.  They explained it was grade logic in the van.  Again, no help.  As the problem got worse, I wrote to Honda about the case, where I did get talked in circles and rudely by one of their Customer reps.  This last month I took it again to the same dealership, this time I was told of this wonderful new transmission fluid change procedure, this one was $250 dollars.  I asked it it would remedy the problem.  I was told yes. it did not help and the problem is worse than it ever was.  As of today the rep offered a few hundred off the cost of the repair and no warranty.  This van still has only 71k miles.  Now they have reached the end game, no more assistance firm and that's it.  So much for my thoughts about owning the "honda" quality car.  Based on this experience, I and or my extended family will never own another Honda.  I will do my best to help others not to make ths same assumptions I made about this company.  Honda, Toyota?  Guess they are one in the same by hiding the dirty truths.
