Maverick	1999	Posted: 06/20/2010 Purchased a 1999 Odyssey EX from Norm Reeves Honda (Cerritos, Ca.) in 2001. I was told that the transmission had already been replaced. In 2005, I had the transmission replaced by Honda of Santa Monica and the cost was covered by Honda. I now have 149,000 miles on the vehicle and this transmission - the thrid one in the vehicle - must now be replaced. Honda has refused to do anything for me saying that any transmissions they do have will be held in reserve for good will clients (apparently I am no longer one of these as I stopped having my vehicle serviced by the dealership). I will say that the service manager with whom I have dealt at Honda of Santa Monica has always been straight with me. I suppose that I could have this tranny rebuilt at a cost of apprx. $3,000 but I'm inclined to sell it for about $3,000 to someone else instead. Any takers?
