Odyssey Transmission

Hello I live in WA with my husband two kids and two foster kids. we recently sold our 99 Honda Odyssey for 4000 and with our 3000 tax return and 300 of our own money bought a 02 Honda Odyssey on Craigs List. What we did not know was the man we bought if from had purchased it only one month earlier for 2000  on the knowledge that the transmission  was shot and it needed a new one. he then fixed the breaks thank you so much but never the transmission and sold it to us for 7300 now this might sound bad but it gets worse the original car owner purchased this car in Canada and well brought it to the United States this is what the car industry  calls a "gray market " so Canada will not help us because the say the car was intended to be driven in Canada and once sold in the US all warrantees and Void Honda of America says sorry this is a Canadian problem sorry we can't help.  The first owner of the van replaced the Transmission at 54K with her own $ because it was "gray market" so when it started to go out again she had no $ left Someone please read my story and help me out.
