Tranmission failed on my 2003 Odyssey at 92,000. I bought car used from an internet dealer who did not disclose the recall issue to me; car had been serviced per the recall. I would have purchased extended warranty if I had known. I had to have my car towed 100 miles to the nearest Honda dealer. After inspection, Honda offered to only pay 10% of the "warranty price" for a rebuild. Bottom line: They quoted me $4000 for a rebuild. Service manager I dealt with is located in Denver, Colorado. He says he negotiated with customer service at Honda America, whom I got nowhere with when I called initially. I am extremely dissappointed with Honda as this is a wide-spread problem with their defective transmissions. I spent more than I wanted to when I initially purchased the car because I needed a reliable, dependable and quality vehicle. I thought I was getting that but instead feel totally ripped off! I feel Honda needs to be held accountable.
