I am the original owner.  Complete transmission failure at 124,000.00   Problems with car prior to while under warranty which were never addressed, leading to failure.   Dealer (after four Odysseys bought with them) won't do crap.  Neither will Honda despite purchasing an extended warranty to 120,000.00.  I was going to buy my 5th Odyssey because I love the van generally, but will not now - I want a car I can keep for longer and that will not have predictable major engine failure.  Not a question of if, just when.

Sir/Madom, Honda does not care about your problems. My 2003 Odyssey transmission went out at 82,000 miles. Even thought I had documentations with America Honda about the noise in my transmission and with Orr Honda in Hot Springs, Arkansas I was finally able to get a remanufactured transmission and computer for $1600.00. Not satisfied I wrote Takanabu Ito, CEO of Honda in Japan along with many pages of documemtations and complaints and would you believe he did not have the balls to answer my letter! Honda (Japan) contacted America Honda and they called saying they had  settled with me and the case was closed. Honda does not take care of their customers as well as the dealerships could care less. No more Honda`s will be in my garage.
