My 2011 Odyssey has 13K miles and recently started to buck or slip when accelerating. I took it to the dealership as it was under warranty. The service department came back with a lame story that corporate Honda was aware and was working on a safety recall. I asked them if they were going to repair my transmission and they advised me "Not until we have authorization from Honda." Authorization?!?! I'm the owner of the vehicle and entitled to a repair under the "warranty". I have contacted my service manager, who is "looking into the matter" and "will get back with me".

Amazing.  Why don't you suggest that your car stay with them until Honda fixes it and that they provide a like Oddy as a loaner until then.  I say that because the car does not sound safe to drive.

Also, I'd go for the extended warranty if you have not already.  And once the repair is done I'd add a tranny cooler and if this model does not have it a servicable tranny filter.  And flush the tranny fluid at least once every 1 to 2 years.  And then hope like hell to sell it before the word gets out about the 2011 trannies.

jokker. Honda does not want to hear about your problems and their dealerships could care less. These are your problems as you trusted the name Honda like many, many thousands did and we all got screwed .Honda knows they have transmission problems in their Pilots, Civics and Odysseys. They have known of these problems since 1999 and still did not fix them. You have a 2011 and you know this is true. 12 years  Honda has been screwing their trusted customers. The best thing you can do is to let everyone you come in contact with about Honda transmission problems and tell all not to buy a Honda.

best of luck,

I would be on the phone and have a new car in the driveway by tomorrow or the full amount for the car refunded to me. That is the lemon law. They have to fix it and fix it when you want to.
