Three years ago,  I bought 2004 Honda Odyssey with very low mileage 34,000 mileage on it. I After i drove it one years only 10,000 milege added to it. means only 44,000 mileage on it. I took my family to birth day party and while we were driving the van stop on me. I don't know what to do and the next day took it to honda dealers and told me that itis transmission problems and  I was told that I will be responsible $2000 dollar and the remain They will cover it and i paid and took my van. So, far it is driving fine now.

HONDA'S DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION STRIKES AGAIN!.  At forty something thousand miles, Honda should have paid for the whole new" rebuilt defective transmission". They probably gave you a 3 yr. or 36,000 mile warranty.  Don't bank on it lasting more than that!  You might want to think about getting rid of it before the warranty runs out.  I'm on my third transmission at 109,000 miles.  Don't get caught like me.  Bye, Bye, HONDA! Your Odyssey transmissions SUCK! ( sorry for using such language), but that is the only word I can honestly think of to describe them, and their transmissions.

I got 58K out of the first transmission and 68K on the second.  Had to replace motor mounts, fix doors twice, ignition switch, door switch etc.  Just had timning belt done and new tires installed when the second transmissiom went so I'm stuck with $3K in recent work.  I'm thinking $4K for a Jasper and drive it into the ground, which probably won't take too long based on the track record to date.  Good luck!
